Urbana-Champaign Friends Meeting is a Quaker Meeting located in East-Central Illinois.
We are part of Blue River Quarterly Meeting , Illinois Yearly Meeting , and Friends General Conference

Meeting for Worship

Our regular meeting for worship is held Sundays at 10:30 a.m.  (New Time!)  Everyone is welcome!

Meeting for worship lasts about an hour; most people stay afterwards for announcements, introductions, and social time (including a potluck lunch the first week of every month).

We worship in the traditional manner of Friends, waiting silently until moved to speak, with no professional pastor and no prepared sermons.

We especially invite children to the first fifteen minutes of Meeting for Worship; then they may stay in worship or join the First Day School at 10:45.  Informal child-care is provided during the summer and on 2nd and 4th Sundays throughout the year.  Formal lessons are offered on 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays during the school year.
