Christmas Rap 2005

It's winter now and Christmas is here
Everybody is happy with that Christmas cheer
And I don't gotta say it. It's just that time of the year
Just listen to the sound that you hear
It's those Christmas bells and St. Nick's sleigh ringing and outside your door the carolers singing.
You might think the 25th of December is just another day but it just isn't the same. It's the day when we remember the Lord's name and peace was his game.
I'm Quaker . . . there have been some heroes,
And without George Fox, Quakers would have the population of zero.
Remember his name and every time you hear it
"Be still and cool in thine own mind and spirit" yeah that's what he said.
So we remember that now that he's dead.
Yeah, there is another hero you might of forgot
It's a lil' old lady by the name of Lucretia Mott.
She went for the ways of peace and was nice.
She did it in a time when women had no rights.
She said a lot of things, but this comes to mind,
"We too often bind ourselves by authorities rather than by the truth."
I wish I could show her a generation of women that didn't just work under the roof.
There is another man without there would be no PA.
His name is William Penn
He founded our state it's great. I'm glad it was found
"No pain, no palm, no thorns, no throne, no gall, no glory, no cross, no crown...."
These are just some of the heroes that we remember,
Never forget their names January to December.
And my time is up here.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
