FIRST DAY (Sunday) SCHOOL

Our First Day School program has three classes:

• Early childhood, for 3 years old-1st grade

• Middler, 2nd-5th grades

• Senior youth, 6th-12th grades

We meet during semi-programmed worship, starting at 11:15, during the school year.

We try to offer children a systematic study of the Bible and Quakerism. We want to give our young Friends an understanding of our Quaker tradition. As they grow older, they can accept or reject part or all of our heritage of understanding – the important thing is that they know what it is that they are accepting or rejecting.

To encourage fellowship among the children, the religious education committee sponsors other events, too; for example: sledding and swimming parties, overnights and movie outings. Another group provides social and service opportunities for older youth.
