ABOUT MINNEAPOLIS
FRIENDS MEETING

Minneapolis Meeting of The Society of Friends (Quakers) was founded in 1854. We are a group of about 275 members and attenders, with considerable diversity in our stages of belief and inquiry. As a community we value highly each individual and the unique contribution that his or her faith experience brings to us to form the totality of Minneapolis Friends Meeting.

As Friends, members of the Meeting accept responsibility for their individual relationship to God. Each of us endeavors to hear, to speak and to understand through our common worship experience without the assistance of a creed or liturgy. We do share certain testimonies (including peace, simplicity and equality) that express the ideals we seek to pattern our lives after.
