You are needed to help with a new roof for Dublin Friends. There are approximately 80 square yards of roof on this Meetinghouse. We need a crew of at least 12 to work for the best part of a week to complete the project. The old roof on the main part of the building must be removed before the new roof can be added. Below are some pictures around the Meetinghouse. Please contact George Taylor at First Friends as soon as possible with dates that you are available to be of assistance along with what roofing tools you may have available for use on this project. We would like to complete the project yet this Fall.
While the roof is high off the ground, it is not a steep pitched roof. We will have a number of body harnesses to help with safety. It appears that only the main (higher) roof will need to be stripped off. The lower roofs appear to only have one coarse of shingles on them and will not need to be removed before the new roof can be applied.
Your help with this project will be greatly appreciated. Board and room will be provided by the Dublin Friends congregation. Please respond as quickly as you are able.
