After further temptation from actor an ex-angel Peter Falk, in Berlin to do an anti-war movie about Nazi Germany, Damiel gets his wish to become mortal. Of course, he has fallen in love with a mortal, Marion (Solveig Dommartin), a beautiful trapeze artist in a two-bit circus.
