AVP-Uganda/AGLI: For a month beginning in February, 2000, the African Great Lakes Initiative will send three experienced AVP (Alternatives to Violence Project) trainers to Uganda to co-facilitate up to eight AVP workshops with AVP-Uganda. Christian Peacemaker Teams announces the following delegations planned for�Fall 1999 and Winter 2000:�

Middle East: November 18-30, 1999 and February 4-16, 2000. Rebuilders�Against Bulldozers Teams will meet with Israeli and Palestinian peace and�human rights workers and then join with CPT�s long-term team in Hebron to�document cases of Palestinian families whose homes are threatened with�demolition by Israeli authorities. Cost is $1700 US.�

Chiapas, Mexico: November 4-15, 1999 and February 18-29, 2000. Delegates�will learn about justice issues underlying the conflict in this southern�Mexican state and meet with villagers facing ongoing violence and harassment�from soldiers and paramilitary groups. Cost is $1000 US.�

The cost covers roundtrip airfare from a designated U.S. or Canadian city,�all on-ground travel, two meals a day, simple accommodations, and all�honorariums and delegation fees. For more information or to apply, contact�CPT at the address below.�
