Youth Peacemaker Training The Fellowship of Reconciliation (FOR) holds a Peacemaker Training Institute(PTI) several times a yearthroughout the country. The goal of PTI is to bring together a diversegroup of young people (17-25 years) to learn about active nonviolence andstrengthen their leadership and practical organizing skills. Eachtrainingexplores critical issues such as racism, sexism, militarism, and domesticand global violence. Participants have the opportunity to learn fromexperienced activists, participate in a work project, and visitgrassrootsand national organizations working on peace and justice issues. One ofthemost valuable parts of the program is the opportunity to meet concernedyoung people from around the country. Upcoming trainings are inSeattle WA, June 21-29; Washington DC, August 15-23; Bangor PA, January11-19, 1999. Contact Paige Wilder or Neera Singh at FOR, P.O.
