1986 Chernobyl (eg, Chernobyl's Legacy, Summary Report): Up to 4,000 fatal cancers, in addition to the 100,000 fatal cancers expected from other causes. Liquidators (those who dealt with the Chernobyl accident) are being monitored for cataracts.
