Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Library
Dear Friends--
You may now access the catalog of the PYM Library (in Friends Center) from
your own desk. The library's web page address is www.pym.org/library.
Then click on "search catalog." You can check if the library collection
has what you are looking for, and even see whether it is available or
in circulation, as of the moment. And, you can make lists for your
files, to print, or to send to anyone, or e-mail lists of requests to
the library.
--Rita Varley
How to make a list of requests and e-mail them to the Library
* After you have gotten into the catalog...
* Click on "Enter search words" bar
* Type word or words you want to search for. If it
is a title, click on icon for title. If it is an author, make sure
the author's last name is typed in first, and then their first, then click
on author icon. If it is a subject, click on subject icon.
* Keep pressing enter until you get to the actual book or
video record that you want to have sent to you. There you will see
an icon for the "bookbag" on the left side of the record. Click
on it to add the title to your request list.
* Once you have all your desired titles added, click on the
book-bag icon at the top right side of the screen. This will show
you the whole list of what you've put in.
* Now click on "printer friendly" and you will have a list
that can be printed out (and mailed to us if you like), or copied into
an e-mail message to the PYM Library at library@pym.org
* Special tips: Most computers are set to accept "cookies"
which are required to use the bookbag feature. If you have altered your
software to reject cookies, the bookbag will not work. If you can
use the bookbag, remember to empty it when you are done with your list
because it will not empty by itself, even if you turn off your computer.
