NUTRITION AND HIV/AIDS
Addressing the problemMany caregivers and their dependents are infected and affected by HIV/Aids. Particularly in poor communities with high levels of unemployment this pandemic creates great challenges for those infected or affected by it. These challenges range from keeping up employment while being sick or caring for sick people and receiving the nutrition needed to stay healthy. With the onset of reaching the Aids stage of the disease, those infected or affected by it may loose their employment which leads to lower household income and a further detoriation in nutritional levels.
