Information and Application for Use of Building by Others
- At some point in the near
future, the Berkeley Monthly Meeting will be doing
renovations; when construction begins, we will be holding our
Meetings for Worship in a temporary location. Updates
and the actual date for moving Meetings for Worship will be
posted when known. However, in
preparation for temporarily vacating our space, we would
like potential
renters to know that Berkeley Monthly Meeting will not be offering
space rentals for approximately one year, beginning in
August 2012, due to our planned renovation. Those
who
would be interested in being invited to our Open House when we
re-open please contact heather@berkeley.edu.
- For the future (post-renovation):
- Costs: The usual costs are
- Four hours (evening or half day)-- $50
- Eight hours (full day)-- $100
- Nine hours or more (day and evening)--
$150
- Costs may vary according to circumstances
and requirements of users. Variances may be imposed or
allowed by the Property Committee of the Meeting.
- Checks should be made out to Berkeley
Society of Friends.

- First Days
- Meeting for Business: after a simple meal,
2nd First Day (Sun.), 1 PM, Meetinghouse. Visitors welcome,
members encouraged, to attend. Heather Levien, clerk.
- Singing! Singing: every First Day (Sun.),
10.15-10.45 in the Ed Bldg. miriam berg.
- Committee meetingsCaty
- Peace & Social Order Committee: 1st First Day
(Sun.),7 PM, Education Building. miriam berg, clerk.
- Ministry & Oversight Committee: Monday before
meeting for business, 7 PM John Erickson, clerk.
- Committee on the Environment: meets on the
4th Wednesday of the month, 7–9 PM in the Library. Contact
Catya de Neergard, clerk, with agenda items.
- Meeting library: open on Wednesdays, 7-9 PM, and First
Days (Sun.), 12 N-1 PM. Sue Friday, clerk.
- Work party: 4th
Saturday, 9 AM-noon. Heather Levien, clerk (Property). Every
fourth Saturday of the month, a small group is at work in and
around the Meetinghouse.
- Regular activities
- Anti-nuclear vigil: Anti-nuclear vigil: each First
Day (Sun.), 1-2 PM, and Thursday, 12 N-1 PM, lawn at the
west entrance to UC Berkeley, Oxford and Center Streets.
- Death penalty vigil:
2nd Tues, 4:30-6 PM, North Berkeley BART. If raining,
check for cancellation.
- Newsletter deadline:
3rd First Day (Sun.), 9 PM. Contact Else Vellinga.

calendar (below). She will find a space and put it on
the calendar.
