9/11 Dialogue With Future Leaders
Information for Participating Students and Schools
The 9/11 Dialogue with Future Leaders program will gather more than 150 students selected from the Naval Academy, St. John's, Anne Arundel Community College, other colleges and high schools at noon on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at St. John's College's Great Hall in Annapolis, Maryland. While the program will run from approximately noon to 5 p.m., we encourage students to arrive as early as 11:30 a.m. for registration and to view displays and information booths.
More 9/11 Dialogue materials soon will be available via this webpage and our Facebook page for students' preparation, although there is no mandatory reading or preparation requirement.
Due to limited seating for students at this event, each participating school has been allocated a limited number of seats for its students and an equal number for alternate student representatives. Schools must send via email the names, emails, age / school grade, and phone number of these students NO LATER THAN SEPT. 1.
We will not distribute students' information or use it except to send confirmations, reminders and information connected with their 9/11 Dialogue attendance. Each high school must arrange for any parental permission forms as to minor students that the school may require for extracurricular activities; the 9/11 Dialogue will not provide separate forms for this event.
If we have cancelations or under-enrollment by other schools, we will contact the alternate students on or before Labor Day, Sept. 5, the 9/11 Dialogue organizers will contact alternate student representatives to invite them to become confirmed student attenders, rather than alternates. Also, on Sept. 5, we will send email packets with more information, directions to get to the St. John's College site in Annapolis, parking, etc.
