On Sunday, September 5, the
Meeting hosted twelve visitors from Uzbekistan.
All ten visitors and two
interpreters were very friendly, very interesting people. Nine of
the men were imams, or Muslim religious leaders and one of the two women
was a teacher and the other an interpreter.
They arrived about 9:45 am and introduced themselves and discussed our
worship group with us. Then they entered Meeting with us to observe our
worship. In spite of their unfamiliarity with Silent Worship, most
stayed with us through the meeting and participated by speaking. We all
enjoyed visiting with them during our social time following the
Meeting.
For more information about
our visitors, see their biographical data.
